MoMA Exhibitions
For this student project, I was tasked with designing a type-heavy exhibitions page for a museum. I chose the MoMA for its bold, modernist style, something much different from my usual work. Inspired by the minimalist layout and subtle textures of brunotome.dev, I focused on bold, aggressive typography and subtle uses of MoMA’s own brand colors. My biggest success was the hero section, where oversized type and interactive hover elements created a bold yet clean composition. Learning how to create anchor links, hover states, and a static background brought the site to life and made the process exciting. Before this class project, I had previously attempted (and failed) to teach myself HTML and CSS on an online course, that began an interest in web design. This project simply solidified the feeling that web design is a niche I am highly interested in pursuing. I quite enjoy the problem-solving of coding and seek to learn more in the future.
