Anxious Heart
The overall design goal for this project was to create something that many people with anxiety could use. The main goal was to create something simple that could be used for tracking anxiety and would give the user small tips to help them in times of high anxiety. To keep the app from becoming too overwhelming, I kept my designs simple and my fonts similar to Apple’s. Designing the tracker was one of the greatest challenges of this app. I needed to create a tracking system that was similar to what Apple uses for its own products while creating something that was still unique. The design developed from a circular chart that filled up as you logged more anxiety hours to a simple bar graph that compares the hours each day the user spends anxious. As this was the first prototyping project I had created with Figma, I was quite proud of the problem-solving skills I used when determining how to create an interactive set of buttons. These buttons provide the user with the ability to change the heart rate and the consistency of the elevated heart rate at which the app sends a notification.
