Mariposa Blackberry Wine

For this project, I designed a wine bottle label with an artistic, whimsical feel. While brainstorming, I rediscovered an unfinished digital painting and realized it would be perfect for a fruity wine. My goal was to design something creative and lighthearted while challenging myself with a quick final project for the semester. I finished the butterfly illustration, originally based on a photograph, and pulled its colors for the logo and accents. The background also reflects tones from the artwork, tying everything together. I left plenty of white space so that the butterfly remained the focal point, and chose a script font to enhance the whimsical mood. This design also hides a couple of Easter eggs, as the name Mariposa is French for "butterfly," and the dates on the bottle mark the beginning and end of my journey at Murray State.
